A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Kano has this afternoon being 18th February 2019 granted political activist, Deji Adeyanju bail after 63 days in prison.
Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode confirmed that the activist was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties.
Recall, Mr Adeyanju was arrested on December 13 over allegations he was involved in a murder in Kano in 2005.
He was charged with homicide, alongside three other persons alleged to be his accomplice.
Fani- Kayode on his Twitter page wrote: “Great news that Adeyanju Deji has been granted bail after spending over 60 days in a Kano prison simply because he spoke truth to power. We give thanks to God. I am so proud of this deeply courageous and inspiring young man. Head bloodied but not bowed!”
