The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended all electoral processes in Rivers State.
This was contained in a press statement released by the electoral umpire and signed by its National commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye.
Following a tip off from inside the collation centre, ACEGIST had reported that the incumbent Governor of the state, Nyelsom Wike has won the election, but latest development has proven it wrong.
Rivers State election has been marred with violence with many feared dead.
In the statement, INEC listed the intimidation of its workers, taking hostage of staff and election materials amongst other factors why it has taken the decision to suspend the election.
