Gov Yahaya Bello Meets With Kogi West Leaders, Presents His Scorecard – Fanwo

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has met with leaders from the western district of the state where he presented his administration’s achievements in the area, this is according to the Director General of Media and Publicity to the state governor, Kingsley Fanwo.

In a press statement released by the media DG, he said the leaders commended the governor on security and for establishing Kogi State Rice Mill at Ejigba.

The statement read:

Leaders of Kogi West made up of retired Generals, Captains of Industries, academicians and political leaders met with the Kogi Governor yesterday in what turned out to be a fruitful deliberation.

The meeting dwelled majorly on issues of development and the Governor was able to brief the leaders of his giant strides. Both parties left the meeting more determined to move Kogi forward, together.

They commended the Governor in the areas of security and the establishment of the Kogi State Rice Mill at Ejiba. The Governor told them the project has been completed and will be commissioned soon. The leaders thanked him for considering Kogi West for such a gigantic project.

The Governor also enlightened the Elders on the issue of salaries. He told them that payment of salaries has been stabilized. He assured them that salary will no longer be an issue, going forward.

It was unanimously agreed that during the second term of the Governor, more of such interactive sessions with leaders across the state to keep them informed on govt policies will be organized. The Governor also thanked the intellectually rich leaders for their patriotism.

The visit of the Opinion Moulders from Kogi West and the fruitful conversations with the Governor is a welcome development ahead of the Governorship Poll as the Elders resolved to work with the Governor and his Team.
