The March 9, 2019 governorship elections in twenty-nine states of the federation have come and gone but many states where the elections were held will not know who their elected governors are just yet as their elections have either been declared inconclusive or suspended by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The two major political parties; the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have however, knocked INEC for suspending the election process in some states, especially in Rivers State.
The PDP has further alleged that all the states the its party candidates are leading are the one either declared inconclusive or suspended.
Reno Omokri who listed the affected state also made the allegation.
Who leads in these states? @OfficialPDPNig. It is no coincidence. It is a process. An anti democratic process.
ACEGIST has also confirmed that the result of Benue State has also been declared inconclusive.
The report read:
“The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared as inconclusive Saturday’s governorship election held in Benue State.
He ordered for a reun election within 21 days.
“Before the announcement, PDP’s Samuel Ortom was leading with 81,000 vote-margin.”
