An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Kayode Ogundamisi, has knocked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for trying to manipulate the result of Kano State governorship election in favour of his party, APC.
This followed calls by many, including the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to INEC not to tamper with the Kano result.
The result was declared inconclusive by INEC on Monday night after a long wait.
Although, according to INEC, the PDP candidate is leading with over 26,000 votes but that falls short of the over 100,000 votes that were cancelled.
Ogundamisi, however, decried INEC for trying to skew the result in favour of the candidate of his own party, the APC.
The APC chieftain called out INEC to do the right thing in the tweet below.
“The charade going on in Kano is unacceptable, if the voters want @GovUmarGanduje out and trust the @OfficialPDPNig candidate, announce the result and let us all move on. The people of Kano are astute enough to know what’s good for them. Ganduje is a dark spot, let go of him.“
