The Kogi State governorship race is edging close and its politicking is beginning to take shape. This informed the new entrant, Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, a son of late former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu to formally declare his intention to contest in the election.
According to Mustapha’s statement during his public declaration, he will be contesting in the election which will come up in November this year on the platform of Young Progressives Party (YPP).
He said he was in the governorship race to bring about a revolution and salvage the state from suffering, hunger, poverty, non-payment of salaries, hardship-induced suicides and deaths.
Mustapha said he would build on the good legacies of good governance and development bequeathed by his late father if elected as governor come November.
He urged youths to join hands with him to make the dream a reality, adding that Kogi would move on to greater heights if he became governor.
Also speaking, National Leader of YPP, Bishop Amachri, urged people of the state, particularly the youths, to rally support for the party’s aspirant in his political ambition.
