The Presidential Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and his Allied Congress Party of Nigeria counterpart, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, are to sign the peace accord on the conduct of the 2019 elections today, this is according to a hint by Punch.
The two candidates and some others were not present when President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress signed the accord in Abuja on Tuesday.
There have been accusation and counter accusation on the reason Atiku was not on ground for the signing on Tuesday;
While Atiku said he was not invited for, a front line organisation of the pact, Abdulsalami Abubakar, said the presidential candidates of all the political parties were invited, except if there were communication lapse.
However, Abubakar further stated that any interested candidate who missed it yesterday can still come for the signing.
The National Peace Accord was convened by eminent Nigerians led by a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd).
