Since accreditation and voting began earlier today at many polling units across the country, the people of Southern Kaduna have been crying out as they are being disenfranchise by one means or another.
First was the cry of voting materials not available at virtually all the polling units in Southern Kaduna.
However, a more disturbing news reaching ACEGIST has it that soldiers are preventing people from voting in the region and this has erupted into protest.
The report from a voter in the region read:
There is a protest at Stadium Roundabout as soldiers who mounted roadblock in the area attempted to stop residents from the southern part of Kaduna from accessing their polling units in the northern part of the state.
The soldiers say they have been authorised not to allow movement.
