Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the decline of the Electoral amendment Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The bill which was forwarded to the president by the House of Representatives was declined on Friday through a letter addressed to the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
The president in the letter stated that the time to the 2019 general elections is too short for any new electoral law to be coming up now. This he said will cause confusion.

But the excuse of Mr. President seemed not tenable to Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, as he accused the president of acting in disservice to democracy while reacting to the Electoral aamendment Bill decline.
“Opposition to the Electoral amendment Bill is a disservice to democracy. The Prez should not be in league with those allergic to credible elections. How can the ruling elites now fear and discard the chariot that delivered them to power,one they showered so much praises?” Sani said.
