Senator Shehu Sani has appreciated the honesty and courage of President Muhammadu Buhari for admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape just two months to election.
According to the chairman of Governors’ Forum and the governor of Zamfara State, Abdulazeez Yari, who briefed newsmen after the president met with governors of the thirty-six states on Friday, he said the presidents noted that the country’s economy is in a bad shape.
“Mr. President, as usual, responded by telling us that the economy is in a bad shape and we have to come together and think and rethink on way forward,” Yari said.
Senator Sani has therefore, praised President Buhari’s honesty and courage of this admittance.
“Prez Buhari admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape is an act of honesty and courage to tell the truth. Many will lie for votes. I don’t know of any President in history or anywhere around the world who will make this kind of statement 2 months to general elections,” Sani wrote on his Twitter page.
