The Much Talked About, “Kogi Peace Submit” Records Large Turn Out Of Kogites

The much anticipated “Kogi Peace Submit 2019”, has been held in Lokoja, Kogi State, capital with large turn out of Participants across the twenty one Local Government Areas of the State.

The submit has in intendance prominent sons and daughters of Kogi State to include: Architecture Gabriel Aduku, Former Minister of Health, Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, Princesses Zahrah Mona Audu, Dr. Salihu Adam Jiddah, a unique Lecturer of inestimable value, Barrister Natasha Akpoti, Senatorial Candidate of Social Democratic Party ( SDP) for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Comr Sani Michael Omakoji ( Kogi Born social media icon), Pastor Chris Royalson Ali Yahaya, Sunday Ataboh ( OMA IGALA) among others.

Declaring the workshop opened, the Chief Hostess of the submit, Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, thanked the participants for honouring their invitation noting that Kogi state has what it takes to be at the world map owing to its abundance mineral resources if carefully harnessed and managed by competent hands but also added that “that is only possible in an atmosphere that is devoid of rancour, hatred & anarchy”.

Various speakers like: Pastor Chris Royalson Ali Yahaya, Dr Salihu Adam Jiddah, and Barrister Natasha Akpoti all preached “peace” at the submit to lead the way as 2019 general election approaches.    

Barrister Natasha Akpoti who commended the Organizers of the submit also lamented the the rate of political gangsterism, killings and adoption of her party’s members by some suspected opposition thugs in Kogi central.

Akpoti who spoke extensively how she is championing “Peace Advocacy” within and outside the state also said that, she has reported the ordeal of the area to the authority and the commissioner of police in Kogi State and AIG but that her outcry has not been given due attention.

Barrister Natasha Akpoti who was visibly angary on the ugly development in Kogi central and a twin situation in Kogi East asked the authority to take action immediately as she said she would not hesitate to expose the rate of silence killing in Kogi State to International community.

Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, the Convener of the Submit who also declared his attention known to run for Kogi’s Gubernatorial seat come November 2019 decried the rate of poverty and human subjugation in the state despite strategic position of Kogi State and its numerous mineral resources.

Prince Mustapha Mona Audu who vowed to turn around the economic fortune of the state if elected as Governor of the State also said, Kogi State has no reason to be poor to the extent of owing backlog of salaries saying the the current economic hardship in the state is as a result of failed Leadership.

Prince Mustapha Mona Audu who said he was not ignorance of character assassination and social engineering to intimidate innocent people of Kogi State added that those behind this barbaric act should urgently reframe from the act as power he said is “transient” and “one must not misuse it anytime one has an opportunity to lead people”.  

While entertaining questions from Participants, Prince Mustapha Mona Audu mentioned: Job creations, massive infrastructural development, women/youth empowerment, human capital development, scholarship to Kogites across twenty one Local Government Areas of the state among others would be his areas of focus if voted into power.

Prince Mustapha Mona Audu who retreated his commitment to liberate Kogi state from the shackle of under development also said, his scholarship program to deserving Kogites would keep off in early February, 2019.

Highlight of the submit was the Peace Accord signed by the convener of the Submit, Prince Mustapha Mona Audu and the participants.
