The debate for the contending vice presidential candidates for the 2019 presidential election has come and gone but reactions continue trailing it.
While the People’s Democratic Party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has been largely applauded for his outstanding performance, many have taunted him on the use of China as a model in many of his examples given on economy matters.
One those who have faulted Obi is Abike Dabiri, the Senior Special Assistance to Presidential Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.
She said if Nigeria is truly to emulate China, then those people who looted the country in the sixteen years of PDP’s rule would have been dead by now.
However, the senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, sees it differently as he made known through one of his tweet on his page.
Sani said: “On democracy, we cite UK and US as shining examples; On economy we cite China, Singapore and Malaysia as booming examples; On arms, Herdsmen and Insurgents we point at our sister African states of Libya, Mali and Somalia.”
