The senatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi Central in the just concluded general election, Natasha Akpoti has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of encouraging the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to carry out more violent threat.
Ms Akpoti stated this when calling on the president and his Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to instruct the Inspector General of Police to prosecute the governor for killing her youth leader, Ojo Enesi.
You will recall that Akpoti, who is from the same senatorial district with governor Bello, has accused the governor of killing her youth leader, Ojo Enesi in the wake of the general election.
The senatorial candidate, who is challenging the eventual outcome of the election – which went the way of the APC candidate – in tribunal, has consistently accused Governor Bello of electoral violence.
Calling for the prosecution of the governor, Ms Akpoti tweeted:
“Dear President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as men of integrity, please instruct the Inspector General of Police to prosecute Yahaya Bello and Kogi APC for the murder of my SDP youth leader Ojo Enesi.
“Your silence encourages violent threats from this accidental ruler. #Natasha #Akpoti #SDP.”
